CONNECTICUT DCF PROBLEMS FOR PERSONS
OUTSIDE THE STATE
You may have business with Connecticut DCF even if you live out of state.
For example, you may be the non-custodial parent of a Connecticut child who is in the DCF system.
Or you may be a relative of a Connecticut child who was taken by the Juvenile Court, and you want to have temporary guardianship of the child.
See Order of Temporary Custody, section on "Placing The Child With Relatives"
It could be difficult for you to come to Connecticut. However, you are certainly entitled to have representation, and a lawyer will be glad to discuss helping you out.
We frequently represent clients who live outside of Connecticut. It is usually possible to have a consultation by telephone and e-mail.
